Old Friends

David and Jen are old friends of ours. Jen and I met and worked together at JetBlue and both of us ended up living in Vegas as well. We had them over for a traditional Scottish meal. (David served an LDS mission in that area) Good times with good people.

Oct 2009

The count down continues for New Moon!

They do love each other....

Please smile... Lauren, Taylor... LEX!!

There was only one casualty with Rob's driving the wheel barrel. Pumpkin pie anyone?

Harvest, a time to gather!

Oh' our afternoon picking pumpkins. My girls are so sweet and love to take a picture of my better half...(my large rear-end) Little Lauren disappeared and wandered for ages looking all by herself. (this was suppose to be a family event) and Rob was on the internet most of the time... but all in all it was a success. We came home and painted them.. pictures to come!

As many of you know I have been on a health kick for the past year. I started running again in March of this year and have successfully kept it up at least five times a week. I am happy to announce that Robbie has been trying to keep up with me the past two months, and as of this week, he has passed me! I cant keep up with those long legs on that 6'3 tall body of his!
It now is an obsession of mine. During the week I run just under four miles a day, and a long run on Saturdays (six or so miles) How disappointed I am that the weather has turned so cold so fast! What's a girl suppose to do all winter? Ugh! I HATE running indoors.

Say Cheese!!

School dayz...

First day of school. This was a difficult picture to get as we rushed out the door. Late on the first day... not so good.

I caught the three girls blowing rose pedals off of their noses at my brothers reception. Super cute!

My little one....

I know I am too young to have a 12 year old, let alone a 16 year old! Lauren is the sweetest, kindest, most loving child. I think that I was in denial about her going to jr. high. I refused to enroll her until the day before school started! yikes.
Last week we had a wedding in our family. This is her waiting for the bride and groom to arrive.

Love that face!

Ramblings of a runner....

Millcreek Fun Run. Sat June 20.
Cari and I met years ago and became great friends. We have been through some roller coasters together. The one thing that we both love is running! Another one of our 5k's early on Sat morning. How can you not want to get up and see that cute face of hers!
I am so excited to continue running, and getting up early to complete many more runs this year!

How cute is my Gran! It's horrible to have her so far away from us. We miss her terribly. Although my family is very grateful that we were able to be with her last September. She is a very special lady to me. Love you Gran!

Holladay 5k

I havent been much into running the past few years, but have just started all over again. Thank goodness your body is very forgiving and I can get back into shape. Taylor and I decided to run Holladays 5k. We met up with Cari and her girls. I'm glad that we finished before the down pour of rain.

The boys... Moose, and Murphy,
Scottish festival.
Robbie and his muscles..

Summer Days

Rob and I went to the Scottish Festival on Saturday. It was busy, and a huge storm came, but well worth the drive to Lehi. I think the question of the day was.. "What do men wear under their kilts?"
This is the first summer that I have been able to be home with the girls. I have always been in school, or at work. Thanks to my sweet husband for letting me play while I still have them at home.
Lauren's friend Brynlee, Lauren, and Taylor at Liberty Park.
Last day of school, Lauren receiving one of her numerous awards from her teacher. We are so proud of her!
While Taylor and I were on the paddle boats, she thought that it would be funny to chase the mommy duck and her babies. (it was kinda funny to see them get away from us)

Memorial Day 2009

I love Memorial Day. To me it's a day to remember those that have passed, those that have served our country, and the start of summer. This year my mom, sister, the girls, and I visited my brother, and grandparent's site. My grandparents are by Winder Dairy, so ice cream was a must. There was a great bagpiper playing in the cemetery while we were there. Then we had lunch, swam, and BBQ'd.

Birthday

Can you believe how time flies? Yes, I know that I think and feel twenty five still, but I just had another birthday. I keep trying to tell myself that being in your thirties is good, great, and fun! Nah.. I HATE getting older. I did have an amazing day/week. I had lunch all week long with one of my girlfriends, breakfast made for me that morning, shopping with my mom, pedicure, and a spoiled birthday present that I have been dying for from my sweet husband, mom and dad. I do love time with family and friends.

April 2009

I love that the weather is getting warm, and we can spend time outside. Easter weekend was busy, fun, and full of birthdays in our family. On April 9 it's my sisters, then mine on the 11th, MacRae's on the 12th, that calls for a lot of birthday cake! We have more birthdays toward the end of the month too. We went to my mom and dads house for dinner, and an egg hunt. We always have a good time.
